Her Excellency, Mariam Aftab<\/strong>, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was accompanied by Mr. Shahid Iqbal<\/strong>, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Mr. Robert Troy, T.D., Minister of State<\/strong> at the Department of\u00a0Finance<\/strong> with special responsibility for Financial Institutions, Credit Unions and Insurance, attended on behalf of the Government.<\/p>\n

The following were also present: Ms. Orla O\u2019Hanrahan, Secretary General to the President; Mr. Colm Hayes, Director General, Global Ireland and Economic Division, Department of Foreign Affairs; Ms. Patricia O\u2019Brien, Chief of Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Mr. John Lynam, Deputy Chief of Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Col. Tom McGrath, Comdt. Brian Walsh, Comdt. Deirdre Newell, and Capt. P\u00f3l \u00d3 Domhnaill Aides-de-Camp to the President.<\/p>\n

The Ambassadors were accompanied to and from \u00c1ras an Uachtar\u00e1in by an Escort of Honour consisting of a motorcycle detachment drawn from the 2 Brigade Cavalry Squadron<\/strong>, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin, under the command of Lieutenant Iarlaith Morrin-Laheen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A Guard of Honour was provided at \u00c1ras an Uachtar\u00e1in by the 12 Infantry Battalion, Sarsfield Barracks, Co. Limerick under the command of Lieutenant Glen Martin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

2nd<\/sup>\u00a0Lieutenant Thomas Sherry<\/strong> from the 12 Infantry Battalion, Sarsfield Barracks, Co. Limerick was the flag officer.<\/p>\n
