Minister for Overseas Development Aid and the Diaspora, Colm Brophy T.D., today invited applications to Irish Aid\u2019s 2023 Civil Society Fund competition. The Fund supports NGOs to implement projects in countries which are eligible for overseas development assistance.<\/div>\n

Inviting applications, Minster Brophy said:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Civil Society Fund helps NGOs to support people in 40 countries. It assists communities to have access to healthcare, education and sustainable livelihoods, as well as promoting human rights and peace. During my recent visit to the Horn of Africa, I saw first-hand how Irish NGOs work in challenging and complex circumstances to save and change lives.”<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cI look forward to receiving applications for Civil Society Fund projects which will help us to continue to deliver results for some of the world\u2019s most vulnerable people.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

The call for proposals to the 2023 Civil Society Fund opens today. The closing date for receipt of Eligibility Forms is 10 October 2022.<\/p>\n

Notifications of eligibility will issue in\u00a0late-October 2022, with application forms to follow by email to eligible organisations. The closing date for\u00a0receipt of\u00a0completed applications is\u00a06 January 2023.<\/p>\n
