The Minister of State for Community Development, Integration and Charities, Joe O\u2019Brien, today announced the 35 projects set to receive funding under the International Decade for People of African Descent Funding Call. Through this Fund, a total of \u20ac169,740 will be made available to support organisations hosting events to mark the International Decade for People of African Descent and celebrate the diverse culture and heritage of people of African descent.<\/p>\n
Welcoming the announcement, Minister O\u2019Brien said:<\/p>\n
\u201cThis broad range of events will engage and help enlighten communities across the country about the Decade and its importance.
